We are currently recruiting for four Vacancies in the Garden Centre; one permanent ‘Till Operator’ role and three seasonal sales assistants. Please see details below.
Part Time Till Operator
Job Reference: TI0212
The successful applicant must have a friendly outgoing personality and be able to work well under pressure in a busy environment. A very high level of Customer Service is expected at all times.
Required to work the following days ...Wednesday, Friday and either a Saturday or Sunday. Hours are 8.30-5.30 (Sun 9.30-4pm)
Till Training will be given but a good typing speed would be beneficial.
Please also note that holidays cannot be taken during April, May and December.
Seasonal Sales Staff - Weekends (March - July)
All seasonal sales persons are required to work weekends from March to July
Furniture and Barbeque
Job Reference: FB0212
This is a busy department during the busy spring months and the successful applicant must be friendly, confident and show a very high level of customer service. Training will be given but an interest in barbecuing and some knowledge of Garden Furniture would be beneficial. Experience in sales and retail is also a plus.
Garden Sundries
Job Reference: GS0212
This busy area requires a person with a good gardening knowledge. Knowledge in growing vegetables is particularly beneficial. Product training will be given but the successful applicant will be expected to show confidence, product knowledge and be able to advise less experienced gardeners. They will need to be friendly, very helpful and display a high level of customer service at all times.
Outside Plant Area
Job Reference: PA0212
A good level of fitness is required throughout this busy department whilst maintaining the plants to a very high standard. In this role you shall be required to advise customers on making the correct decision, therefore a good plant and gardening knowledge is very important and a level of knowledge in either bedding and patio plants or hardy plants is also necessary.
